Multistatic UWB Radar-Based Passive Human Tracking Using COTS Devices

چکیده
Due to its high delay resolution, the ultra-wideband (UWB) technique has been widely adopted for fine-grained indoor localization. Instead of active positioning, UWB radar-based passive human tracking is explored using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) devices. To extract time-of-flight (ToF) reflected by moving person, accumulated channel impulse responses (CIR) and corresponding variances are used train convolutional neural networks (CNN) model. Particle filter algorithm track person based on extracted ToFs all pairs links. Experimental results show that proposed CIR- variance-based CNN models achieve less than 30-cm root-mean-square errors (RMSEs). Especially, model robust scenario changing promising practical applications.

This paper investigated the feasibility for improved detection of human respiration using data fusion based on a multistatic ultra-wideband (UWB) radar. UWB-radar-based respiration detection is an emerging technology that has great promise in practice. It can be applied to remotely sense the presence of a human target for through-wall surveillance, post-earthquake search and rescue, etc. In the...

متن کاملPassive Polarimetric Multistatic Radar Detection of Moving Targets
We study the exploitation of polarimetric diversity in passive multistatic radar for detecting moving targets. We first derive a data model that takes into account polarization and anisotropy of targets inherent in multistatic configurations. Unlike conventional isotropic models in which targets are modeled as a collection of uniform spheres, we model targets as a collection of dipole antennas ...
